Absolute waste of money

I’m so sick of this company and the internet misleading and service SUCKS it is the worst I mean you can go to Mc Donald’s and get better wifi and speeds. This was the absolute worst decision I have ever made and I get told every day by my daughter that the internet sucks
VIASAT SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF MISLEADING AND CHARGING SO MUCH FOR SHITTY SERVICE!!!

Hi @cecepadilla

I see on your account that you’re currently 624% over your high-speed data allowance – that is, you’ve currently used 219 GBs out of 35 GBs available since November 28.

This is probably linked to your slow speeds.
Do you normally check your usage on the MyViasat app?

If you run out of high-speed data, your traffic is not prioritized and you might see slower rates, especially during the peak busy periods.

If you have the time, we’d like to check if there aren’t other lingering issues on your setup, such as a Wi-Fi or signal issue. To do that, we ask you to please run for us a full speed diagnosis on the system.

  • You can download the Viasat Browser here: https://browser.viasat.com/.
  • After you install the browser, you need to be logged in on speedcheck.viasat.com.
    • To do that, click “Login” in the upper right corner of the menu, as indicated in the picture below.
    • The credentials for this login are the same as the ones you use for MyViasat.

When you run the tests from the Viasat browser, we can see “Speed from your device” and most importantly “Speed from your modem”, which is greatly useful to identify discrepancies in the speeds, such as in this example below:

I know this is a bit more cumbersome than just running a normal test, but the complete diagnosis helps us eliminate other factors.

By the way, if you believe your main usage at home comes from streaming apps or videos, you may be interested in the Data Saver Feature Experiment, which is free of charge.

You can read more about the Feature here, and also sign up if you’d like:

PS @cecepadilla

I’ve had your usage reset for the next few days as though it were a new billing cycle, this way we can properly test your speeds with high-speed data.
