Viasat updated my equipment and 2 days they sent me an empty box via UPS

I received an empty box 2 days after an installer upgraded my equipment. What am I supposed to do w/ this empty box? I am concerned for a simple reason. I have seen multiple posts on this forum where Viasat charged customers hundreds of dollars for not returning their old equipment. The installer took my old equipment with him when he left. It included the thing (transmitter?) that goes on the dish itself, the old modem and the power supply. The box I received has a place in it for all these items. I am going to be beyond pissed if they try and say that i didn’t return the stuff and then take $260 (or whatever the amount is) from my credit card I have registered on my account.

Hi @willtommyjones,

Since your case was a special one I’ll escalate your question to the team that worked it in the first place. I’ll let you know what they say on Monday.

Thanks for your patience and sorry about the confusion,

Nacho

Hi again @willtommyjones

We heard back from the escalation:

Any potential equipment fees due to this upgrade have been waived.

You can ignore the box sent, and our apologies about the confusion.
