Unexplained high data usage

My data resets on the first of the month. I got a notice on Nov. 9 that we have used 70% of our data already. The Viasat app shows that 49 GB (half our total of 100 GB) was used on Nov. 7 and 16.7 GB was used on Nov. 8. This is not possible with how we use our internet. We watch TV using an over-the-air antenna and don’t stream anything. We don’t download movies. Mostly we just browse the internet, send emails, and watch short videos. Sometimes we have run out of data just before the end of the month, but that is okay and doesn’t bother us.

Last month on Oct. 31 there was also unusually high usage of 28.8 GB. (Oct. 11 and 12 were also high, which we chalked up to my husband watching some news on his phone in HD, but now I’m starting to wonder.)

Would someone please look into our data usage and help me figure out what is going on? Thanks.
