Speed Worse and Worse!

Seems like the speed just gets worse and worse. Most of the day today my device speed is 8-9 Mbps. I am also having a bit of trouble connecting a DVR to the modem with an Ethernet. I found what I thought was the user and PW on the bottom of the modem but it does not seem to work. It looks like it should be admin and the PW associated with that.

Same, and I can’t wait for fiber optic to get in my area in a few months. It takes 4 hrs to watch a 98 minute movie!

Your modem speeds according to your speedcheck history and our internal testing are great, but as we mentioned in previous topics, you are suffering from a Wi-Fi issue.

Your tests always show a much higher modem speed than a device speed. I recall you mentioned that your device sits right next to your modem, so we strongly recommend a Router in this case.

Using an Ethernet cable can also help in this situation.

These are both very good Routers and help in amplifying the Wi-Fi range and quality throughout an average-sized house.
