Speed test in other states, slowwwww

#1…just saying…almost as good as dial-up :slight_smile: positive viasat gets this alot. If it continue probably not going to keep it. Took several days during installation for the tech to get a signal. Not sure it was the sharpest bowling ball.

#2…when I run a speed test it shows the test will be from states AL, TX and GA. The dish is in Maryland. Is this normal?

#3…I hooked my vzio tv to the viasat modem/router by ethernet. Trying to update to have access to the apps…it just keeps spinning. Viasat can’t do anything about this, I know. Just wondering if there is something I am missing.

#4…It’s slow. I know you are going to come back with the speed speel…but basically this is not work the 120 a month at all. Normally I am connecting by ethernet with just 1 computer and today tried to connect the tv by ethernet.

Regarding #2, it can be normal. The location of the test server isn’t necessarily the same as the location of your dish.

About #3, I’d say to test the wired connection on another device, but since you said you already do that for your PC it might be something with the TV. Can you connect the TV using Wi-Fi?
