I wanted to upgrade to the unlimited data package from my older plan with only 40gigs of high speed. Since the upgrade yesterday, I have been unable to keep my work VPN up and running. I was easily able to do this on my old plan even after I was done with my high speed data. Ran a speed test and I’m getting less than 2 mbps download and roughly 1 mbps upload.
After all the issues with trying to upgrade the plan, new modem, installation issue, activation issues, etc; I’m second guessing this upgrade. I should have just stayed with what worked.

When you have a chance, please run a complete speed diagnosis as follows:
1 - Open the Viasat browser – this test won’t work on other browsers;
2 - Go to this website: Viasat Speed Check | Home
3 - Log in using your My Viasat account
4 - Run the test (wait for both tests - modem and device - to finish)
I’m seeing good speeds from your modem now, so that test will help me understand the issue.

That test went better than this morning. 20 mbps download and 8 upload. I could live with that however, this morning I could not keep my work laptop connected. I never had that problem previously.

Sorry for the slow reply. How are the speeds now? I just tested the modem again and at this moment speeds look good.
When you need a VPN, you could try using a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi, that would help with the speeds.
