Question about using tp link mesh

I changed both network/passwords to match. My deco app says I have 2.4 and 5 bands. My geeni cameras require 2.4 but it doesnt show a seperate channel for 2.4

Do you mean that your Viasat modem does not show a separate 2.4 channel, or your TP-LINK Mesh?

Neither did, before I put in bridge mode to add the mesh. It only shows 1 network no separate 2.4/5

Did you happen to reach TP-Link’s support team, regarding DECO or the Mesh?
We can’t really offer support for third-party equipment.

Your Viasat SB2+ modem does offer 2.4 and 5.0 networks, as separate options.
This is what you can see under “Advanced settings”:
