My speeds have gradually been slowing

My speeds have gradually been slowing again, after the tech last fixed the problem. This morning I am getting 51.1 upload and 5.2 download. My android is better than that with only 3 bars of service on 4G. Its a clear, sunny day. How can this be fixed?

We’re currently investigating your setup, but I ran a few tests on your modem and it seems to be receiving good speeds:

  1. When you get a chance, can you please use a laptop or Android phone to run a complete speed diagnosis on https://speedcheck.viasat.com, with the Viasat Browser? This will help us get a full reading on the speed situation and allow us to identify/rule out Wi-Fi issues, amongst other problems. You can follow our guide: How to run a complete speed diagnosis.

  2. Do you notice the slow speeds at specific hours, or does it happen throughout the entire day?

By the way, it looks like your modem is currently set to “Bridge Mode”, which disables the Wi-Fi.

Do you use another Router, or an Ethernet cable?

No I do not. I’ve not changed it since the technician was here.

When the technician was here some months ago he connected my router to another device.

I realize you have been trying your best to improve my internet but as you can see from the attached screen shots, this morning my Viasat internet is useless. I am having to depend more and more on my phone as a hotspot. This is very discouraging. We may have to find another solution for our internet service if this cannot be improved.

I see the upload speed on your device is slow. When we tested your modem directly, we saw good upload speeds, like this:

We’d like to check if this could be a Wi-Fi issue. When you have a chance could you run a complete speed diagnosis test? This is how to do it:
1 - Open the Viasat browser – this test won’t work on other browsers;
2 - Go to this website: Viasat Speed Check | Home
3 - Log in using your My Viasat account
4 - Run the test (wait for both tests - modem and device - to finish)
