I work from home andcthry are saying i canmot get tech until october 4th… nor can i purchase a modem to use while im waiting. I dont understand how this is true unless the new modem is blocked by viasat to prevent customers from using outside equipment

I tried to run a speed check on your modem and it worked, maybe you’re having issues with your Wi-Fi only?
If the issue is the Wi-Fi signal, and you have another router, you can use it. However, the modem itself has to be from Viasat.
