Modem is making noises

Starting few weeks ago my modem don’t stop making noises. Is very annoying because it happens all day long including nights. We decided to shut everything off that uses internet however, the noises continues. What is happening and what should I do to stop it.???

That’s a new one. Are you able to record it using your phone and post it? We will take a look at your account and see if we see anything problematic there and let you know.

I truly appreciate your help. This noises coming from my modem are very disruptive because the device is in my bedroom.

Hi @ycadle I’ll make a request to the Field Operations Team to get you a new modem. I hope to have and update with more info later today.

Until then, if you could please email us the video at support@viasatengineerchat.zendesk.com that would be great, our engineers are interested in hearing this noise to root-cause the issue to prevent it from happening again to other customers.

Hi @ycadle,

Our engineers noticed that your modem’s temperature is too hot, so they are wondering if you could please describe its location (ex. in a cabinet, desk, shelf, etc.) and send a photo if possible?
