Internet being used when no one is home

I got a message at 8.43 A.M. that I had used 70% of my unlimted plan then again at 2 p.m.again saying I used 90% of my internet. I was not home all day, wasat the hospital the only thing in my home is a dog no close neighbors. I apparently use internet when I was at hospital with my brother he had surgery. Explain to me how I used up the internet when I was not home. This is insane no one was home and last month my bill was almost $300, people and I have a unlimited plan. I used 10 gb up in one day they said. Im not sure how I can use
that much internet .

Go ahead just paid 15.00 last night for more internet got a message done used that up to. I got it at like 8.30 p.m. I went to bed at 10. How did 15 gb get used from 8.30 to 8 this morning

Just as a heads-up – you mentioned having an “unlimited” plan:

I see in your account that you currently use the plan “Choice 75 Mbps/150 GB”.
This means you have 150GBs of monthly data allowance, not unlimited. :slight_smile:

No I am pying 120 a month for unlimted just had tech at my house last week come on . I bought 25 gb last night and its gone this morning. I turned computer wifi off before I went to bed . Something is seriously wrong here

Do you happen to have another account? The one I’m looking at has had this Choice 75 Mbps/ 150GBs plan since 10/10/2023.

If you have recently switched your plan, the changes have not been made effective yet.

If you had the Unlimited/Unleashed plan, you would be unable to buy data boosts.

I’ve found your service call due to a cabling issue from 08/27/2024 – it doesn’t mention anything about changing plans.

Just to reiterate, if you had an unlimited plan, you would not be able to buy these extra data boosts. As the system has you on the Choice 75Mbps plan, you can buy extra data.

Please get in touch with Customer Care regarding this plan issue if you’ve been told that you were switched to an unlimited plan (855-463-9333). You can also check your monthly invoice for the plan description, if you have that in hand.

I pay a 120 a month for my plan and was told it was unlimted now your saying I dont have it. Please talk to the lady tech that came here she can back me upnwhat plan i habe she looked it up and had her boss say i was in unlimted . Who changed it

Regarding the data usage issue, as you don’t recognize the hours and days with usage, we strongly recommend changing the Wi-Fi password as quickly as possible, as you may have a stranger accessing your network.

I see that you called yesterday to Customer Care and the agents recommended the same thing.

Please let us know if you need any help changing the password. Again, as you don’t recognize the hours and devices and overall usage, we recommend making this change as fast as possible to avoid further usage of your network from strangers.
