AGAIN, i know i am out of high speed data. But to call this standard speed is beyond ridiculous. Especially when i am not given the choice of when i can use my high speed data and it is used first and my only options are not any better than this. I have the choice of the unlimited data package but from what i am reading in the forums vs what the plan description claims, i will be in a worse situation than i am now. And what i pay now is nearing $200 a month for something that i am sure nobody there would find acceptable. Your competition is offering me almost twice the high speed data for just about half the price but i am not sure i can trust them but can i continue this? Now that i am taking online classes and can’t even watch a full class and take a quiz in the allotted time because i have such poor internet speed what am i going to do? If i fail my classes my attorney will figure it out maybe.
Was in the same boat, And from the mapping about same area give or take, I ended up dropping them and got Starlink, Which has out preformed them a thousand fold.
Hi @jaydadawnbowden ,
I’ve made some changes to your network which should be effective in about an hour. Please run a few tests to see if it improves the situation, but please note that after exceeding the data usage threshold for your service plan, your data priority will be behind other customers that still have their high-speed data, during network congestion, resulting in slower speeds depending on the amount of high-speed data users at the same time.
Thanks,
Leonardo
And yet I have no choices about when I can use my high speed data. So during the day when other customers are NOT using data I could use standard data then use my high speed data during the evening when my classes are offered. But that isn’t an option. So I am stuck with something that I have to just choke on because there isn’t a larger data plan in my area.
Hi @jaydadawnbowden ,
Does that mean that your network service has improved during peak periods?
Thanks,
Leonardo
It did for last night. I will continue to monitor. Last night it was low to my modem but the wifi to my device was enough to participate in my class. Not sure how that works. How I can get 1-2mbps to my modem and 5-6 mbps to my device but it was good enough so as long as I can stream a the class and take quizzes and tests fine.
@jaydadawnbowden that’s good news, but we should keep monitoring just in case.
Please let me know if service quality drops again.
As for the modem and device speeds difference, sometimes that happens when the test is run during a very fast speed fluctuation.
Thanks,
Leonardo
