Still waiting on an update.

Hi @wisegolf91 ,

Our team has been working on a fix for the issue, how are your speeds currently? Have you noticed any improvement?

Thanks,
Leonardo

I have done a few speed tests and it was all over the place. Some were in the 4-10mbps range and some were 25+. Just now it was over 50. I will see how it does.

Very inconsistent

It is still bad. It is unuasable for me, and I am realizing that it was a mistake. Im going to have to cancel the service. I feel like I was lied to and taken advantage of, especially with this cancelation fee Im going to have to pay. My phone line internet was more consistent than this.

Hi @wisegolf91 ,

We’re very sorry as we understand this situation can feel very frustrating. The ongoing issue was resolved recently, and when I was performing some speed checks I got good speeds for your account right now. If you’re still getting bad speeds even now and you’d still like us to investigate, please let us know and we’ll be more than happy to help.

Thanks,
Leonardo

The problem is throttling, or as you guys call it “congestion”. It starts at about 5pm and goes until 11pm. Every goddamn day, Oh wait a minute thats when I wanted to use my internet. What a joke to pay this much, have high speed data by the truckload, and be throttled to 10mbps. Screw Viasat, hopefully karma does her part and puts you guys out of business.

Hi, @wisegolf91,

There was a recent change in your network configuration. Could you confirm if you saw any improvements in the speeds (download and upload)?

Thanks!

It is slightly better. Main issue is the speed slowing so much in the evening. I still have a few hours every evening when it gets really slow. Would love for the lowest congestion speed to be closer to 25mbps instead of 10mbps, since I pay for 100mbps

Hi @wisegolf91 ,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. How’s your experience currently?

Thanks,
Leonardo

Still the same havent noticed any imorovement.

Hi @wisegolf91 ,

Got it! We’ll keep investigating to verify every possibility of what might be affecting your network, and once we have any updates we’ll let you know.

Thanks,
Leonardo

Hi @wisegolf91,

As Anderson mentioned earlier, there was a change in your configuration recently that placed you in a slightly less congested network segment. We believe this would allow you to get speeds around 25 Mbps at the worst time of congestion (between 8-10pm).

When you get a chance could you please run one or two complete speed diagnoses using https://speedcheck.viasat.com/? That way we can see if the speeds have improved and also check for Wi-Fi issues.

Thank you,

Nacho
