Hi. I did a speed test because my interenet is being weird. I enter a website address and hit enter. A new tab opens and i wait…then it says there is no internet connection…so i look … because i know that there is an internet connection… i have confirmed that i have an internet connection… after a few more seconds, the page pops up and evefything is wonderful. The problem is this gets really old and really slows things down. The second speed test said possible wifi issue…i also ran diagnostics test on My Viasat App… it said everything is “GREAT!” … so, that is where i am at…please send some help thanks.
Hi, @pink.me.pleez,
Thanks for your message, I’m investigating that now. When I have some feedback I’ll let you know
Hi, @pink.me.pleez,
The speeds on your modem now are good:
The Wi-Fi issue banner appears when there is a difference between device and modem speeds. That happened in your previous test, however the device speeds were good:
Viasat internet has a latency of around 600ms, so depending on the website your’re visiting, that can contribute for the slow response time.
Is that issue happening frequently? is it affecting all websites you visit?
Thank you for looking into my issue and getting back with me. I appreciate you taking the time to help me with this issue. To answer your questions from tge previous response,… I am still having the issue of really slow loading pages and really slow response whenever interacting with elements with in the pages. This occurs on all websites. What do you think id causing this…it just started recently and it is a very noticable change from my regular experience. Very frustrating. Thank you for your help…I hope we can figure this out.
Could you try accessing the same websites from another browser?
Your speeds are really great when running the speedchecks and also when we test your modem, so there might be another issue at play here:
Also, like my colleague mentioned, you currently have a Wi-Fi issue – regardless of how high the speeds are on your device, they are higher on the modem.
This can usually be solved by moving your device closer to your modem, or using an external router, or connecting via ethernet cable.
Also, when you run a speedcheck, please try to do it at the exact same time when you experience the sluggishness in websites. That can help clarify the situation.
By the way, do you happen to use a VPN when this issue occurs?
