Why does my signal keep dropping off? Have to reboot multiple times and still may not get signal back for hours, why?
Thanks for reaching out to the Forum team! I’ve identified 2 issues with your account:
-
You’re currently suffering from a mispointed antenna – this can cause slow speeds, bad signal quality, and a total downtime in connection. You might want to consider attempting a self-repoint. You can find information about self-repoints here: Can I repoint my Viasat antenna on my own?
If a self-repoint doesn’t sound viable, then we can request a technician visit to repoint your antenna and improve your experience. -
You’ve gone over the monthly high-speed data allowance, so you may be experiencing de-prioritized speeds, especially during the peak evening/late afternoon periods. If you’re unsure how you went past the high-speed data cap, we can have a look at your historical data usage to identify which app(s) caused this. If you use streaming apps a lot, please check out our free Data Saver program: Announcing the Data Saver Feature Experiment!
Please schedule a technician to come out to my house
Thank you
