I found this page with plan changes info. It states you can change plans without affecting your current contract, which my contract has been over with around 5 years now. It also states the plan you change to will take effect immediately by rebooting your modem. Is this still the case. I would like to change plans but don’t want to sign a new contract and changing equip. I am currently on the Bronze Unlimited 12 using the SB2 modem. Thanks.

Thanks Leo. No hurry, I have not really decided if I want to change right now anyway.
I heard back from our customer support team. They explained that you will need to sign a new 2 year contract only if you upgrade to a plan that requires new equipment.
I took a look at your account and realized that you are in a location that is covered by our Viasat-2 satellite network (you are currently on Viasat-1). The Viasat-2 satellite offers plans with better speeds and data caps. If you are interested I can take a look into those plans and send you the options.
